GDRFA Commemorates 52nd UAE Union Day with Spectacular Emirati Heritage Showcase
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai commemorated the 52nd UAE Union Day with a grand celebration that highlighted the rich Emirati heritage, including displays of traditional Emirati dress and local handicrafts.
The event featured a well-organized military parade set to the tune of official musical melodies, attended by several officers and non-commissioned officers. Adding to the festive spirit were traditional artistic performances, which vividly expressed Emirati heritage through folk dances, Arabic music, and other folk arts.
Special corners were also set up to showcase local handicraft products and traditional folk meals, offering a glimpse into the rich cultural tapestry of the UAE.
HE Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA, said that the celebration was a reflection of the UAE society's strong sense of cohesion and unity. He emphasized that such events underscore the UAE's commitment to preserving and sharing its cultural identity with the world. This, he noted, is instrumental in promoting a sense of belonging and mutual respect among the diverse cultures present in the emirate.
HE Al Marri also highlighted that GDRFA is dedicated to leveraging national and international events as platforms to strengthen societal unity, celebrate the unique Emirati culture, and bolster patriotic spirit among employees.
