Ambassador Al Hameli honours the UAE's top performing teams in Turkmenistan.
HE Ahmed Al Hameli, UAE Ambassador to Turkmenistan, has honoured the UAE team at the "Tactical Games of the UAE – Turkmenistan, marking a significant achievement as they clinched the top three spots among the championship teams. A total of 43 teams comprising men and women took part, totalling about 105 players.
The three distinguished UAE teams are Al Wathba, Desert Storm, and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai. The championship, which saw the UAE's team collectively rank third, surpassing their competitors, was especially significant as it marked the 28th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the UAE and Turkmenistan.
The sporting event was organized by the UAE Embassy in Turkmenistan in collaboration with the Turkmen Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Turkmen Ministry of Sports. The championship, hosted at the Olympic Village in Ashgabat, was also supported by the Emirates Body Building Federation.
Adding to the accolades, HE Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA, extended his congratulations to the players, highlighting the achievements of Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed bin Dhabawi, First Lieutenant Rashid Mohammed Al Marri, and Lieutenant Ali Darwish Al Marri, lauding this significant sporting triumph as a new addition to the records of GDRFA.
