GDRFA honours 96 retired employees after 30 years in service
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has celebrated and honoured a group of retirees who have dedicated 20 to 30 years of their lives to serving GDRFA. The ceremony recognized the contributions of 62 male and 34 female retirees who retired in the years 2021 and 2022.
The retirement celebration, dubbed "Pride of GDRFA," was attended by HE Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the GDRFA in Dubai, as well as a host of other officials and employees.
Commenting on the occasion, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al Marri emphasized that the ceremony aims to honour the retirees' long service and dedication, which resulted in promoting leadership principles and providing superior customer service.
"Our recognition of retirees is a mere acknowledgment of their colossal achievements. They have truly embodied the ethos of GDRFA, bringing the visions of our wise leadership into fruition. They have been instrumental in securing Dubai's continuous presence in local, Arab, and international forums, ensuring our city remains a beacon of happiness for customers, citizens, and residents alike,” Al Marri said.
Major General Awad Al Awaim, Assistant Director General of the Human Resources and Finance sector, also lauded the pivotal role played by the retirees, adding that their efforts in nurturing a fervour for leadership and crafting a comprehensive work system have been invaluable contributions to the successful trajectory and esteemed reputation of our cadres.
