The golden residence permit is granted to scientists and specialized professionals from the category including: (Scientists and researchers, specialists in industrial fields, specialists in health fields, specialists in educational fields, skilled workers).

The duration of this residence is 10 years, subject to extension if the same conditions are met.
Scientists and researchers who have achievements :
1. A copy of the sponsored person’s passport.
2. Nomination/ Recommendation letter from the Emirates Scholars Council.
3. Scientist license certificate.

Senior Religious Scholars and Religiousmen:
1. A copy of the sponsored person’s passport.
2. Nomination/ Recommendation letter from the Ministry of Culture and Youth or from the competent local authorities.



Elite Industries and the Fourth Industrial Revolution:
1. A copy of the sponsored person’s passport.
2. Nomination / Recommendation letter from the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology or from the competent local authorities.

Elite Health Fields:
1. A copy of the sponsored person’s passport.
2. Nomination / Recommendation letter from the Ministry of Health and Prevention or from the competent local authorities.

Elite Educational Fields:
1. A copy of the sponsored person’s passport.
2. Nomination / Recommendation letter from the Ministry of Education or the competent local authorities.

Talents in Digital Technology:

Science Specialists:
1. A copy of the passport.
2. A valid employment contract in UAE.
3. Salary certificate with a monthly salary of no less than AED (30,000) thirty thousand UAE dirhams.
4. License to practice the profession (for professions that require the same).
5. Certificate of academic achievement, not less than a bachelor’s degree (The applicant should provide a report on the recognition of the academic qualifications from the Ministry of Education)

6. Bank statement showing bank salary transfers for the last 6 months.

Engineering Specialists:
1. A copy of the passport.
2. A valid employment contract in the country.
3. Salary certificate with a monthly salary of no less than AED (30,000) thirty thousand UAE dirhams.
4. License to practice the profession (for professions that require the same).
5. Certificate of academic achievement, not less than a bachelor’s degree (The applicant should provide a report on the recognition of the academic qualifications from the Ministry of Education)

6. Bank statement showing bank salary transfers for the last 6 months.


Education Specialists:
1. A copy of the passport.

IT Specialists:
1. A copy of the passport.
2. A valid employment contract in UAE.
3. Salary certificate with a monthly salary of no less than AED (30,000) thirty thousand UAE dirhams.
4. License to practice the profession (for professions that require the same).
5. Certificate of academic achievement, not less than a bachelor’s degree (The applicant should provide a report on the recognition of the academic qualifications from the Ministry of Education)

Specialists in Law, Sociology and Culture:
1. A copy of the passport.
2. A valid employment contract in UAE.
3. Salary certificate with a monthly salary of no less than AED (30,000) thirty thousand UAE dirhams.
4. License to practice the profession (for professions that require the same).
5. Certificate of academic achievement, not less than a bachelor’s degree (The applicant should provide a report on the recognition of the academic qualifications from the Ministry of Education)

6. Bank statement showing bank salary transfers for the last 6 months
Digital channels (website/smart application):
1. Log in to the smart services system through (UAE Pass or username).
2. Search for the service to be applied for.
3. Fill in the application data, where applicable.
4. Pay the service fee (if any).

Customer Happiness Centre:
1. Visit the nearest Customer Happiness Centre.
2. Get the automated turn ticket and wait.
3. Submitting the application that fulfils all conditions and documents (if any) to the customer service employee.

Amer Service Centre:
1. Visit the nearest Amer Service Centre.
2. Get the automated turn ticket and wait.
3. Submitting the application that fulfils all conditions and documents (if any) to the customer service employee.

Residence Permit Fee: AED 1,100.

Additional charge :
Knowledge Dirham: AED 10.
Innovation Dirham: AED 10.
Fee within the country: AED 500.

Delivery Fees:
AED 20.

Note: The issuance fee increases by AED 100 for each year whenever the residency period is more than two years.
Scientists:
1. He/ She should have a recommendation from the Emirates Scholars Council.
2. Obtains a master’s degree or doctorate in one of the disciplines of engineering, technology, life sciences, and natural sciences from the top 500 universities in the world (for doctorates) or the best 250 universities in the world (for masters) according to international classifications approved by the Ministry of Education, or
3. He/ She should obtain a certificate of educational, not less than a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent for all categories. Also, (The applicant should provide a report on the recognition of the academic qualifications from the Ministry of Education).
4. Condition (2) or (3) must be applied to the university in any of the last ten years.
5. He / She should have a score of 1.0 or higher on the Field Weighted Citation Index (FWCI) and score 10 or higher on the h-index.
6. Those with a Scopus H index ≥ 20 or those with achievements in building the research and development sector inside and outside the UAE are excluded from the above conditions, based on the recommendation from the Emirates Scholars Council.
7. The certificate must be accredited by the Ministry of Education
8. He/ She should have an effective comprehensive health insurance for himself and his family members, when applying for golden residency or in accordance with what is applicable to the competent local authority.

Specialists:
1. He/ She should obtain a work permit in the country under a valid employment contract in the country.
2. He/ She should be a skilled worker at the first or second professional level according to the professional classification approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.
3. He/ She should obtain a certificate of educational, not less than a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent for all categories. Also, (The applicant should provide a report on the recognition of the academic qualifications from the Ministry of Education) is very important.
4. The monthly salary should not be less than AED (30,000) thirty thousand UAE dirhams or its equivalent in foreign currencies.
5. He/ She should have a license to practice the profession for the professions that require it: doctor, pharmacist, teacher, etc.
6. He/ She should have an effective comprehensive health insurance for himself and his family members when applying for golden residency or in accordance with what is applicable by the competent local authority.
