GDRFA Dubai, Legal Affairs Department of Dubai Government ink cooperation agreement
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has signed a cooperative agreement with the Legal Affairs Department of Dubai Government to bolster mutual operations and serve the interests of both entities.
The agreement was signed by HE Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA, and HE Dr. Lowai Belhoul, Director General of the Department, in the presence of several directors from both entities.
The bilateral collaboration seeks to provide suitable solutions, infrastructure, and world-class smart services to enhance and advance the quality of service delivery. It also aims to foster integration and enrich the quality of life for customers, which in turn is expected to have a positive ripple effect on the economic and social developmental trajectory of the country.
HE Al Marri stressed that the agreement is a step in the right direction towards achieving sustainable development and upgrading community services while also fostering knowledge and experience sharing in legal and organizational domains and improving legal protocols concerning residency and foreigners affairs.
For his part, Dr. Belhoul highlighted that the Department forms its network of partnerships, driven by the vision of the Government of Dubai and its strategy directed towards achieving the pinnacle of government performance, through the exchange of experiences and adoption of best practices.
The accord will pave the way for enhanced cooperation, communication, coordination, and data exchange, all aimed at improving customer service. It aligns with the broader goal of executing joint projects and initiatives and will ease the procedural operations of the Legal Affairs Department in fulfilling its relevant duties and competencies.
