GDRFA concludes Fitness Championship for sectors 2023 with three team winning
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has concluded its Fitness Championship for sectors 2023 with the Follow-up and Violators Team (A) clinching the top spot, followed closely by the Follow-up and Violators Team (B) in second place, while the Institutional Support Team secured the third position.
Launched on July 27, the tournament witnessed spirited participation from 24 teams, representing a variety of GDRFA’s sectors and a total of 72 employees. The championship has been held in line with GDRFA’s commitment to fostering sportsmanship and aligns seamlessly with the vision set out in the 2023–2033 strategy for developing the emirate’s sports sector, an initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Sports Council.
HE Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA, affirmed that this tournament not only reflects the directorate's commitment to amplifying Dubai's sporting initiatives but also serves as a beacon highlighting the profound impact of sports on an individual's physical and mental vitality.
Prominent attendees at the tournament included Saeed Mohammed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council; Ali Abdullah Bin Haider, Vice President, Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation; and Mohammed Abdul Rahim Al Marri, Secretary General, Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation.
